RESOURCE PACKET
Project SAFER continuously researches tools and techniques available to aid in the reduction of underage-access of alcohol, and over-service of alcohol. We have created a resource packet tailored to specific environments, such as a bar or restaurant, or an outdoor festival highlighting sources for some of the best wristbands, ID verification tools, and guidelines for best service practices. These are available at no cost to Ventura County event organizers and bar or restaurant owners and managers.
If you'd like to request an resource packet, please email the name of your bar, restaurant, or special event, your name, mailing address and phone number to: info@projectsafer.org.
SPECIAL EVENT
Along with our resource packets, Project SAFER staff are also available to meet and collaborate with special event organizers to review existing or help to develop new alcohol service practices for their event. These services are often available at no cost in Ventura County.
BAR & RESTAURANT
Project SAFER can meet with both managers and owners of bar or restaurants to go over house policies, and service practices to help limit the liability for the establishment and their employees, as well as, should it be deemed necessary, provide an assessment of the establishment (similar to a secret shopper report) as to what happens in a bar or restaurant after the owner or manager leaves--which may be a completely different picture than while that person is present in the establishment.
